Do you want a low-cost and effective means of marketing your business or organization? Online marketing can be the least expensive, most effective means of marketing your business. Some of our clients rely solely on website traffic and word-of-mouth to gain customers, thus saving thousands or more on marketing costs. Internet marketing is relatively inexpensive compared to other mediums. If you choose paid advertising like Google AdWords or Bing Ads to expand your visibility, you can create effective marketing campaigns at a very low cost. Pay-per-click strategies allow you to set your own price point and only pay for the traffic you actually receive.

Tucson Web Design does both the design (how the site looks visually to the visitors) and the development (all the back-end coding, SEO, etc.). With over 30 years in sales and marketing and over a decade in website design and development, we have the combination of skills to not only create an aesthetically pleasing website, but to build it into your overall business marketing strategy.
Why hire a website designer / developer? You might ask yourself, "If the software is free and the platforms easy to use, why would I hire someone to do my website? Why not just do it myself?" The most honest answer is, you can! If you have the time (a good website can take 100+ hours to build), the creativity (a marketing
background is ideal), the skill to test code, the ability to put yourself in others' shoes (think like a potential customer) and the marketing vision and implementation skills for maximum effectiveness. We have seen some nice websites created by non- designers. That said, it is rare to find someone who hasn't building sites for a number of years to create a site that is nice to look at, easy to navigate, appeals to the target market, has the back-end code optimized for SEO, SEM and works well with the company's brand identity and overall marketing strategy. It might seem like you are saving money by doing it yourself, but in most cases you will spend a lot more. Time is money. When we create your website, it frees you up to run your business. We design our sites so that if you choose to be the administrator and update your site ongoing, you have that flexibility. |
What platform do you use? There are over one hundred free or inexpensive platforms to use and development environments. In the last decade, the quality and capability of open source platforms like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and many others have made design capabilities nearly infinite.
We specialize in platforms that are easy for a client to update their website themselves. A client can hire us to build the site, and then update and manage it themselves if they choose. Some clients still want to have us manage their site ongoing to free them up to focus on their business. We are flexible and can best advise you, depending on your budget and time constraints. |
"I've hired web designers in the past. They never completed the job. What guarantees do I have if I hire Tucson Web Design to do my website?"
If you have hired a web designer in the past and they started the work but didn't finish the job, this can be very frustrating. In our experience, this is caused by two things. The first is that some designers quote a flat rate, start working on the site, then realize the site involves a lot more time than anticipated. They may also get frustrated with clients changing their mind in the process or wanting more than what was initially outlined and not paying for it. Since they don't have a written contract, they just don't care enough about the client and after the initial deposit, walk away. A written agreement will endure you don't have a designer walk off the job, and it ensures the designer is not working beyond what was originally agreed upon.
The other issue is that some designers can be very flaky and just don't care enough about a client or project, so they dump the client for a higher paying project. As a client, get a written agreement whether your contract is by-the-hour work or a flat rate. Pay your bills on time, communicate and meet your timelines. Expect that your designer keeps their end of the agreement and meets deadlines, communicates, and delivers as promised. The goal should always be a mutually beneficial project with respect on the part of both parties.
At Tucson Web Design, we work with clients using a mutually beneficial written agreement that outlines timelines, process, goals and even a business analysis. Many developers and designers don't consider your competitors or target market when designing a website. We ALWAYS take into account those considerations. We try to avoid surprises as much as possible, and focus on designing the best possible website for your budget.
